This virtuemart extension module, written for Joomla 1.5.X and Virtuemart 1.3.X, allows you to place a product in stock countdown for a single product in any module postion on the site.  Features include:

• Modify text before and after count, with HTML control
• Accelerate the count daily by an quantity of your choosing
• Works for only one product id PER module

If you sell a product both online and via other means, or if the product has a limited lifetime (7 days, 30 days, etc), you can accelerate the countdown artificially by entering the start-date of the campaign and the number you want removed from the count each day.  Therefore, if you have a 30 day life for the campaign, and you have 300 in stock, and you expect to sell half online and half via telemarketing and in your retail store, you would enter the 5 in the countdown accellerator field to account for the half that you expect to sell offline.  This assures that the product counts go down every day even if you sell nothing offline, so it creates some urgency for those who visit the site twice.

Installation & Configuration:

1. In virtuemart, find the product id of the product you are interested in counting down, and enter a starting inventory quantity
2. Install the module using the joomla extension installation feature
3. Open the module and turn it on and place it in the module location you want
4. In the campaign start date field, add the date if you would like to accelerate the countdown beyond the real in-stock values
5. In Multiplier value, enter the amount you would like inventory reduced by every day (affects display only, does not decrease actual inventory)
6. In Product ID, enter virtuemart product ID of the item you want counted down
7. In Intro Text, enter the text you would like to appear before the count
8. In Trailing Text, enter the the text you would like to appear after the count
9. Be creative - use HTML in Intro and Trailing text to format the text or the count number

Roadmap: Currently there are no changes and additional features planned for this extension.

We noticed that the Kunena forum's RECOUNT CATEGORY STATS feature in the back end does not re-count USER STATS. User TOTAL POSTS tend to get messed up if you use the duscussbot (configured in certain ways), delete threads, etc. Therefore, we created a hack to the RECOUNT feature that fixes these. We are hoping that the folks at Kunena, who are updating the Fireboard forum product, will make this part of their code, possibly implementing it as a configurable variable (recount categories, users, or both).

The CopyScape plugin for Joomla 1.5 is a GLP licensed extension designed to simplify the process by which you can insure originality of content (and avoid the Google Duplicate Content Penalty) and protect your content from plagiarism.

The plugin places a button next to your article titles that only your special users (Authors and above) can see.  If you click on the button, it passes a URL to your article text (without the template, menus and modules) to Copyscape for testing.

This product is for Copyscape PREMIUM users only. It was designed for quickly going around a site and manually checking each article from the front end.

Installation Instructions:

1. Install the plugin and turn it on
2. Go to www.copyscape.com, and login with your PREMIUM account id WITH COOKIES ENABLED
3. Each AUTHOR+ user must have previously logged into a PREMIUM copyscape account for this to work

Roadmap: We are planning on creating a more advanced plugin which tracks the copyscape history at the bottom of each article (first date, last date, # checks), and places the a copy-protected warning logo on the article if you wish.
